Install Pet Portal to your home screen or desktop.

Add Pet Portal to your computer or phone like a native app — full screen, its own icon, and faster access to schedules, live GPS visits, messages, and invoices. Follow the instructions below for the device you are using.

Open the live app to install

Windows computer

Chrome or Microsoft Edge (recommended)

  1. Open the live app Go to app.pet-portal.org in Chrome or Edge (not this marketing site).
  2. Microsoft Edge — install from the menu Click the ⋯ (Settings and more) in the top-right → More tools → Apps → Install this site as an app. Confirm Install in the popup.
  3. Chrome — install from the address bar Chrome shows a computer / install icon on the right of the URL bar. Click it, then confirm Install. You can also use ⋮ menu → Cast, save, and share → Install page as app.
  4. Find it later Pin to the taskbar, or open from the Start menu under Pet Portal. The app opens in its own window without browser tabs.

Firefox on Windows does not fully support installing Pet Portal as an app. Use Chrome or Edge for the best desktop experience.

Mac computer

Safari, Chrome, or Edge

Safari (macOS Sonoma / Sequoia+)

  1. Open the live app in Safari Visit app.pet-portal.org.
  2. File → Add to Dock (Or share / page menu → Add to Dock depending on your macOS version.)
  3. Open from the Dock Pet Portal launches in its own window, separate from Safari tabs.

Microsoft Edge on Mac

  1. Open the live app Visit app.pet-portal.org in Edge.
  2. Install from the menu Click the ⋯ (Settings and more) in the top-right → More tools → Apps → Install this site as an app. Confirm Install in the popup.
  3. Open from Applications / Dock Pet Portal appears in Launchpad and Applications, and can be pinned to the Dock.

Chrome on Mac

  1. Open the live app Same production URL in Chrome.
  2. Install from the address bar Click the install / computer icon on the right of the URL bar, or use ⋮ menu → Cast, save, and share → Install page as app.
  3. Confirm Install The app appears in Launchpad and Applications, and can be pinned to the Dock.

iPhone & iPad (Safari)

Same flow as in the Pet Portal app

  1. Press & hold the address bar Hold the Safari search / address bar until a menu appears.
  2. Tap Share Choose Share at the top of the options list.
  3. Add to Home Screen Scroll the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Confirm Add Tap Add. Open Pet Portal from your home screen icon for the full app experience and push notifications.

On iPhone, install from Safari — Chrome/Firefox on iOS cannot add Pet Portal the same way.

Android phone

Chrome (recommended)

  1. Open the live app in Chrome Go to the production Pet Portal URL.
  2. Open the Chrome menu Tap the three dots (⋮) in the top right.
  3. Add to Home Screen or Install app Either option works. Confirm Add or Install.
  4. Open from your home screen Use the Pet Portal icon for full-screen mode and to enable push notifications when prompted.
